Photography Terms & Conditions

The practical details covering bookings, payment, delivery, image use and what happens if plans change.

Parties. “Client” is the person or company booking the services. “Photographer” is the service provider named on the invoice or booking form.

Booking & Payment.

Accepting a quote places the requested date on hold but does not by itself confirm the booking.
A non-refundable 50% booking fee must be paid within 24 hours of the invoice and no later than 24 hours before the shoot for the booking to be confirmed.
If that payment deadline has passed, the booking remains unconfirmed until the booking fee is received and the Photographer reconfirms availability in writing.
The balance is due on the day of the shoot before delivery.
Payment methods and any VAT will be stated on the invoice. Late payments may incur interest.

Standard colour correction and light retouching are included.
Final photos are delivered through Flickr download once full payment is received.
Files can be downloaded in available sizes from Flickr. RAW files are not supplied.
The gallery availability period will be confirmed in your booking confirmation.

Unless stated otherwise in writing, images are supplied on a non-exclusive, non-transferable licence for the Client’s own web, social, internal and agreed marketing use.
Copyright remains with the Photographer. The Photographer may use the images for portfolio, website, social media, self-promotion and competitions.
Exclusive rights or usage outside the above are available at additional cost and must be agreed in writing before the shoot.

Journey to the location is included in the price unless specifically stated otherwise in the quote.
Any additional travel, parking, permits or venue fees pre-approved by the Client will be invoiced at cost.

One round of revision edits is included after delivery, capped at 3 hours of editing time.
Further edits are charged at £150 per hour.

Provide timely access, schedules, contacts and any required permissions or permits.
Where people are identifiable, the Client warrants that they have authority or consent for photography at the event or premises and will indemnify the Photographer against third-party claims arising from lack of consent.

The 50% booking fee is non-refundable if the Client cancels for any reason.
One reschedule is allowed, subject to availability, if requested with reasonable notice. The booking fee transfers to the new date.
If the Photographer must cancel, all amounts paid will be refunded in full, which is the limit of liability.

The Photographer retains creative discretion over style, selection and editing. Specific shots are not guaranteed.
Work may be paused or stopped if conditions are unsafe, unlawful or unsuitable for equipment, with reasonable efforts made to reschedule.

Client details are processed to respond to enquiries, deliver services, manage customer and booking records, issue invoices and meet legal obligations, as explained in the Privacy Policy.

The Photographer’s total liability for any claim, including equipment failure or data loss, is limited to the amount paid by the Client for the affected booking.
The Photographer is not liable for indirect or consequential losses.

Neither party is liable for delay or failure caused by events beyond reasonable control. Dates will be rearranged where possible.

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, and disputes are subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the English courts.

By paying the booking fee or confirming the booking in writing, the Client accepts these Terms & Conditions.
