Photography has always been my way of paying closer attention. Today that means welcoming property images, energetic live performance work, relaxed portraits and travel stories built from the details that make a place distinctive.
A little history
A practical eye, developed over time.
My interest in photography began with a Fujifilm FinePix S602 passed down by my grandad. It was modest by today’s standards, but it taught me to slow down, observe carefully and notice the details that are easy to miss.
Moving through different cameras and subjects reinforced a principle that still guides my work: equipment matters less than understanding the light, the purpose of the image and the moment in front of you.
That approach has developed through commissioned property, performance, portrait and event photography, including work for organisations such as the Raspberry Pi Foundation and Mozilla.
Today I bring the same considered eye to every assignment. The aim is always to create photographs that are clear, distinctive and useful while retaining the atmosphere and character that made the subject worth photographing.
